Kentville firefighters rushed to the scene of an apartment fire on Leverett Avenue last night with reports of a child trapped. Immediate mutual aid protocol activated for New Minas, Canning, Waterville, Port Williams, Greenwich and Wolfville fire crews. Firefighters got the flames out quickly. EHS paramedics transported an infant to hospital for observation.
